If you want to travel to some of the most wonderful places in the world, then you need to go to Vietnam. Because they’ve got two of the best natural wonders around the world, both within traveling distance of one another. Why Go To Halong Bay and Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park?
If you are looking for a Vietnam based vacation package, then you might wonder what is so cool about Halong Bay and Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park. Well, for starters, Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park is located in the Annamite Mountain Range in Quang Binh Province.
This mountain range is home to the oldest karst formations in Asia. Karst is a landscape that is formed from only soluble rocks and areas with karst contain many caves and sinkholes, and the Annamite Mountain Range is over 400 million years old in some places and contains around 64 miles of caves and underground rivers. That’s certainly a sight to see!
Halong Bay is in the Gulf of Tonkin, and it also has a stone feature to its name. It is made up of about 1,600 islands that are extremely steep and uninhabited by humans, and it also contains islets of limestone pillars. These pillars are rising out of the sea and have been worn down by 500 million years of rain and water, and are often covered in plant life.
Both of these places are considered UNESCO World Heritage Sites, and they are both unique and beautiful to look at and experience at least once in your life. The best part is, they are extremely easy to get to in a day, meaning that you won’t have to devote two days of your vacation to travel. Additionally, there’s no agonizing choice over which one to go to first!
